About this blog
It’s 2026 and the role of the programmer is no longer to write code by oneself, but to delegate coding tasks to more-capable AI agents. The boost in productivity has been unprecedented, and personally it’s felt exciting and empowering.
But after reflecting on my first year of coding with AI, I realize there are things I’m missing:
- the fulfilment and satisfaction of creating something totally by yourself
- staring at a blank page; getting “stuck”
- the steady calm of deeply single-tasked work
This blog is an attempt to reclaim these prescious feelings I’ve lost, via writing. No AI assistance. Just an imperfect being sharing their imperfect understanding of the world.
